Hi Bella,

Auctiva currently provides basic relisting functionality so it is not currently possible to revise or schedule items you are relisting. However, we will be adding the ability to do both these things with a future release.

In the mean time, in order to make revisions to items you are relisting, you would need to relist them as they are through Auctiva, and then revise them thereafter using eBay's "Revise your Item" form, or relist them directly through eBay where you will be able to make changes prior to relisting.

If you have any additional questions or concerns regarding this matter, please file a support request using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx

Hello,

This is my take on relisting (for ebay credit) through Auctiva.

* I can, but can not make any changes in Auctiva.
* I can, but it must be a post it now (as opposed to scheduled)

Am I correct?

Next questions:
* I want to add detail to my "payment/shipping rules" section. I'm assuming I would have to copy & paste in ebay. Is this correct?
* If I wanted to add a couple more pictures, again on the ebay side ... is this possible without incurring ebay picture fee's.

*** could I make all these changes to my saved listing in Auctiva ..... then copy & past code to ebay side to achieve these goals?

If so, could you give step by step?

Thanks!
Hi Bluekat- Since how to revise an active listing is a fairly common question, I am going to give you a copy of a post I previously made on this topic.(Saves a lot of re-writing, hope you don't mind):

"Making changes in an active listing is pretty easy. If you wish to make changes within the template area (description, seller details, pictures, or the template itself), you can copy and paste the HTML from your revised listing in Auctiva to your active listing in eBay as follows:

1) Locate your listing in your Saved Listings folder in Auctiva, open it, make any necessary changes, preview, and save.
2) In your Saved Listings folder, click the <HTML> icon to the right of your listing.
3) Select all of the HTML in the popup box and copy it.
4) Locate the item on eBay and click the "Revise your item" link.
5) Click "Edit Description" then click the "HTML" tab.
6) Select all of the HTML that's there, paste the copied HTML in its place, and save your changes.

Keep in mind that the HTML copy & paste described above only applies to the template area. If you wish to revise items outside the template (title, category, price, etc.), you need to do that directly from the ebay "revise your listing" page. If you are just doing a one-time change to the TEXT ONLY within the template (description or seller details, not pictures) this is more easily done on the ebay page in the description box, without the need to replace HTML. A more "permanent" revision, to be applied to future postings, should be done to your saved listing of course."

As far as the relisting issue is concerned, again I'm going to take the easy way and use a recent post. I think it will help clarify the issue:

"You can only relist through either Auctiva's CLOSED folder, or ebay itself, and get the credit. If you "relist" from your SAVED folder, it will constitute a NEW post, rather than a relist(even if previously listed), and therefore not be eligible for credit.

Also you can not SCHEDULE a relist from Auctiva at this time(planned for future upgrade), as you can a new listing. When you click relist from your closed folder, the auction will post immediately. If you want to schedule, you can only do that from ebay (and be charged their 10 cent fee).

Hope this is not overload. Smile
