o.k.

Here is the situation. I am one of those people who got off to a little bit of a late start with my computer education so I am playing catch up. I understand that one can have a store with auctiva, I still don't understand how it can be free but if you say it can I will trust you, but what if an individual purchases something through ebay but I have a link to images at auctiva. They do not pay auctiva for shipping, they are buying the item through ebay but just looking at picture in Auctiva. Does a customer or me only Pay Auctiva when item is purchased through Auctiva? How long can we have a listing. Can we say put some of our old stuff we have in our Attic on Auctiva and just leave it their until it sells. What is the Deal? I am overwhelmed at all that is involved. WHy would anyone even auction their stuff on ebay if auctiva does all of this for free? Is it name recognition? Someone please offer me the lowdown. Can we set up account so customer pays insurance?

Hi,

The free Auctiva Store is a showcase for your ebay listings.

It will contain all of your active ebay auction and fixed price listings and if you have an ebay store all of your store inventory. If it is not an active listing on ebay it will not appear in your Auctiva store. The Auctiva store imports your newly active listings directly from ebay. Therfore, if you have no active listings on ebay then your Auctiva store will be empty. You can not create listings and have them appear only in your Auctiva store.

The Auctiva store is a great free bonus to those sellers who don't have an ebay store as you will be directing buyers to a very nice looking unique showcase of your listings rather than sending them to a regular ebay listings page. It helps you to stand out amongst the competiton.

Auctiva is a listing service to help you create your listings and manage you ebay business. It is not an auction site. You still must use ebay to list your items.

If you need more information please ask.

Hope this helps.

Hello - and welcome - I joined in March of this year and I too was a bit over whelmed - and for this "alien's simple mind" - I looked at it like this - Auctiva enhances what you list on eBay and it holds all the information, a bit more user friendly to me, you can have insurance issued thru Auctiva, and they can also send your buyer an invoice. The only time you pay Auctiva is if you purchase insurance, and even then I think I read somewhere you get a small percentage of that insurance back. Hope that helps a bit - Dawn PS when you get a bit more comfortable with this site you might like to use the scheduler - that is just wonderful. Good Luck -
