OK everybody! Smile I'm sure you've all heard these questions before so thank you in advance for any help.

1. Since Auctiva stores can only be used with Ebay...then what is the advantage of having one as opposed to...or along with...an Ebay store?

2. Since Auctiva stores can only be used with Ebay...does Auctiva belong to Ebay as does Paypal and some other businesses?

3. If one opens an Auctiva store by paying $6.95 for a domain name...AFTER that...is one charged any OTHER fees per month/year for OTHER things? Such as listing fees, final value fees...etc? Or is one charged STRICTLY and ONLY that one-time $6.95 fee for the year?

I tried looking for info on that last question all over the Auctiva site and cannot find ANYTHING about OTHER fees.

Hi shemadut64,

Welcome to Auctiva! The Auctiva store is not necessarily a replacement for your eBay store, so you certainly may want to continue with your eBay Stores subscription even though your now have an Auctiva store. Your Auctiva store is a customizable storefront that displays all of your active eBay listings at any given time, and can be reached by clicking the link on the bottom-right of your scrolling gallery. You can find the customization option available for your Auctiva store under the “Store” tab within your account.

While your eBay store also displays all of your active eBay listings at any given time, it can be reached by the “Visit My Store” link that eBay places in your auctions and, most importantly, even if you have an Auctiva store, an eBay store is still required to post “store item” format listings, which are “Buy it Now” only, entail extended listing durations, and are charged according to the eBay Stores fee structure.

Also, if you were to purchase a custom domain for your Auctiva store for $6.95, it would not cause you to incur any additional listing fees. However, the fee of $6.95 is an annual registration fee so, if you were to decide to continue using your custom domain after the first 12 month period, it would cost another $6.95 to renew it for an additional year.

Finally, while Auctiva is integrated to work only with the eBay marketplace, we are not owned by eBay. We are a privately owned company that has been producing tools to help eBay sellers streamline their businesses since 1998.

WOW Mike! Thanx for the QUICK response! Smile

BTW...I forgot another thing I meant to ask.

While reading around the Auctiva site I saw something mentioned about 'Google traffic'. Are the Auctiva stores automatically ... IN ANY WAY ... listed/shown/accessed ... when a potential customer 'Googles' an item that I might have listed in my Auctiva store.

For instance.....Say I have a cross stitch pattern of an Arab stallion listed, and someone types "Arab stallion cross stitch" into a Google search ... is it possible that a link to it would come up in the search results?

Or does one have to subscribe in some way for Google advertizing?

Thanx again. Wink
