I have been selling on ebay for about 8 months now. I have just today looked into Auctiva and did sign up however have not done the ebay token yet. I still have questions before taking that step.

- I have seen mention of fees, is this in place of ebay fees or in addition to? Will I be double wammied with fees and if so what is the rate for auctiva?

-I currently have quite a number of listings in my ebay store. What happens to those listings when an ebay token is activited? Do they stay in the store and are just not listed in auctiva? I believe I saw someone mention that only active listings show on auctiva. If so can I promote my store on auctiva?

-What happens to my current feedback on ebay? It may not be high but I've worked hard to get it where it is, 163 with 100% positive!

-I've also noticed several mention problems with insurance and shipping getting messed up. Do you have to use auctiva shipping or keep ebay? I like the way my shipping is set up as it is.

Does my ebay settings stay the same but just with a different format?

I'm sorry with all the questions but I just want to make sure this is the right step for me to take and I'm just not quite sure the process of switching over and what happens.

Any help or suggestions would be greately appreciated! Smile
Thanks
QB

Hi QB,

First, A BIG WELCOME TO AUCTIVA!!!

Auctiva does not charge any fee for any of its services unless you sign up for one of their paid services which are different from this service. Everything is free - the use of their templates, their photo hosting, listing creation, posting and scheduling, folders, feedback etc. ALL FREE! Click on the "pricing" link on the top of this page for more info.

In fact, you will save on ebay fees since you will not have to pay ebay extra if you prefer to schedule your listings rather than straight posting. You also do not have to pay ebay fees for extra photos in your listing. And if you purchase your insurance through Auctiva, you will pay a reduced fee which will actually make you more money or you can pass the savings onto you buyers by charging them less for insurance. Click on "My Account">"settings">"Auctiva Shipping Insurance Settings">"Rates and Details" for the rate chart.

You are still posting your listings to ebay under your ebay user id. Nothing changes in ebay. Your user id, feedback etc are still the same. Auctiva service is a tool to make the listing process easier. It doesn't replace ebay - it assists you with ebay.

When you generate the token Auctiva will import your active listings into their system. It will add the scrolling store window to your active listings. It will have no affect on your ebay store.

Your Auctiva store is simply a collection of all of your active ebay listings. It will contain all of your auction and fixed price listings and if you have an ebay store all of your store inventory. If it is not an active listing on ebay it can not show in the Auctiva store.

At the moment you can not print/ship through Auctiva as you can through ebay/Paypal. So you can keep doing that part as you usually do.

As for Auctiva Checkout, I have been using it for a few months now and have not had a problem with over 1,000 transactions going through it.

Please clarify what you mean by "ebay settings" and I will try to answer.

Also take a few minutes to read the FAQ as they may answer a number of questions that you might have.

Welcome to Auctiva Help!

Hope this is of some help to you.
