I tried relisting from a closed (ebay) auction using Auctiva, but it only allows editing of specific things and I wanted to edit my pictures, category, etc. So I tried relisting through ebay and editing, BUT then my NEW images don't show up within the Auctiva template - so I ended up with pics that were at top and bottom ebay and pics (different ones!) that were in the body of my ad. How do I correct this? I tried using the Saved Listings to edit my ad in Auctiva, but then this doesn't really Relist, it only lists it as new because the ebay # isn't there for it to know it is being relisted. Is there something I'm missing here? Do I have to relist through ebay to change pics and categories and pay extra for changing (using ebay's) design and extra pic fees? Help!

Hi IAJAB652,

Yes, those are the limitations on relist from Auctiva. If you want to make those extensive changes and get the free Relist from ebay, I'd do it from the ebay Relist and use the ebay editor with cut and paste or the HTML copy method from an Auctiva saved listing. Both work for getting the Description section corrected including the pictures. ebay PREVIEW will confirm you got it right, or you can cancel (back-off) and try again.

BTW...I do that all the time and half my current listings were Relist with cut-and-paste updates from my Auctiva Saved Listings.

By FREE RELIST, I mean you get your listing fee refunded IF the item sells. That's only on the listing fee and not upgrades, like gallery plus.

Thank you Dan, that's what I was afraid of. I figured I'd have to do something complicated like that. I suppose when I relist from ebay and delete all the html stuff that creates the auctiva template and pictures, then I'll have to pay ebay to put a 2nd pic in and also to use their designer. At least now I know that I wasn't doing anything wrong - just not doing it right.

No, you can simply embedded all the Auctiva Description info using the GET HTML tool next to each Saved Listing in your libray and use that code to paste into the ebay editor description field for a complete replacement. I sometimes just cut and paste the changed areas, but results are you get exactly what you'd normally get from Auctiva without any fees for added pics or designer.
