Hi,

Hard to believe that a week has gone by and my auctions are expiring. I need your advice on relisting as I'm still a newbie working his way through the process for the first time.

I have multiple item, fixed price "auctions" which have expired and not all the items sold I need to get them back on ebay ASAP.

Is there any advantage to relisting vs. starting a new auction when I'm not trying to get a listing fee credit? Does it make sales tracking any easier by relisting? In particular, does ebay keep the same listing number when we relist as opposed to listing fresh?

Does it make it easier for Auctiva to keep track of what I'm doing if I do a new listing through Auctiva rather than a relist thru ebay (I'm assuming that there aren't any relist features in Auctiva in the current version).

If I relist, will Auctiva automatically find my listing? If so, about how long will Auctiva take to find them and will the checkout process proceed smoothly if something sells between the time I relist and the time Auctiva updates?

Thanks to the Auctiva community for your help! And thanks again to Auctiva for the free tools.

Hi Max,

Actually, relisting through Auctiva is essentially creating a new listing so there's no decision to be made between relisting and creating a new one. To relist something through Auctiva, just go to your saved listings page, click the boxes next to the items you want to relist, and click post or schedule. These relists will have different item #'s than the original listings.

If you relist through eBay, it typically takes 4-6 hours for the listings to be imported into Auctiva. Items relisted through eBay, however, will not go through Auctiva checkout. The buyer will still be able to check out smoothly through eBay checkout though.

I hope this clears things up=)
