Hi skinny,

We actually introduced some functionality similar to what you have described within the last year. When you on the "Manage Images" page within your Auctiva account, the "Listings" column indicates the number of active listings each image is currently being used in. Therefore, if you are looking to delete the images that aren't being used in any active listings, you can safely delete all of the images that reflect "0" in the "Listings" column.

Any additional questions or concerns? Please file a support request using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx

Hi cotmyeye,

I believe it should. If there are images stored within your account that are being used in active "GTC" store listings that also reflect "0" in the "Listings" column on your "Manage Images" page, can you please let me know the URL of the image and the item number in which it is currently being used.

If you would prefer not to share this example on this public forum, please let us know by contacting our customer support department using the appropriate link on our help page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-auction-software-help/help.aspx

Mike ~

I have a specific folder for all of my store listing pictures. I checked all 400+ of the images, the first 410+ are showing as NOT being in an active listing. There are 9 on the last page that show as 1 active listing.

Here is one that shows 0 active listings

Hi cotmyey,

Thanks for taking the time to post the requested information. I have verified the issue you are reporting within your account and have forwarded this example to our developers for further investigation. I suspect this behavior is indicative of a bug that will need to be addressed with a future release.

In the mean time, I suppose it would be a good idea to refrain from deleting images solely based on what is displayed in the "Listings" column on your "Manage Images" page. The "Listings" problem probably works properly for normal auction and fixed price items, but further investigation will be required before we know for sure.

I agree! I've thought about going in and deleting images as soon as an item closes, but I like to keep the images there for a couple of weeks or so after the sale so that if there are any questions, the pictures can be referred to. So, not only a way to earmark images that have closed (or better yet, sold), but also a date when they closed would be nice.
