Hi Community,

The issue pertaining to the "Reserve Price" field being unavailable for categories for which it is allowed on eBay was resolved at approximately 5 PM PT yesterday evening. However, there are certain categories for which eBay does not allow the "Reserve Price" feature to be used.

If anyone would like further assistance with issues related to this matter, please file a support request using the appropriate link on our help page:

@Mike:
This issue is still a problem, I am trying to list a vehicle on eBay motors, which all allow reserves, and Auctiva's listing designer is not letting me fill in a reserve price. I can fill in a price for Starting Price and the Buy It Now price, but the Reserve Price textbox is unselectable. In other words, I can't type a price into the Reserve textbox. I cannot/will not list any more vehicles using Auctiva until this is fixed. Anyone that lists a vehicle on eBay without a reserve price is insane. Please help.

I tried today so list some parts in eBay Motors and get the same response as an error message.

I opened a help ticket with Auctiva but it has not been resolved yet. They tried to tell me that the category that I was trying to list in didn't allow a reserve and I have in the past listed items in this category with a reserve. I can not find anywhere on eBay Motors where there are any categories that a reserve isn't allowed.
in my experience a lower starting price makes more people bid on it. even if just a small amount that they know won't meet the reserve, that's still more people looking at and bidding on your auction. the more people that look at your auction, the better the chance of getting what you want out of it. plus remember if someone sorts the auctions by price, the lower price will shop up before the one with the higher starting bid.
