Save Button Not Working Properly?

Last eve. I used 'Create a new similar' button and several times used Save at the bottom of the draft. This caused the page to reload w/the changes, but I noticed not going to the usual 'You have successfully saved . . . etc.' w/ the various options. Now I find it apparently wasn't saved at all.

What is the cause/cure?
[Work saving on W7/FF, now using XP/FF]
PS:
Further investigation: an auto-save in the listing I started with had my revised descr., so I didn't lose all. However new title`& images were not saved.
This time Save button worked, but still have my orig. ?.

Solved, I think. I had a plug xx price in b-i-n. Error was showing in 'start price', which I wasn't looking at. Use 1.00, seems OK.
