One of the worst frustrations with Auctiva is spending ages constructing a listing, only to have the whole thing vanish irretrievably when Auctiva 'hangs' or is very slow. Is there any way you guys can provide some sort of temporary storage facility which automatically saves what you have got to in a listing so that this can be retrieved when Auctiva is faster? I am not a techy so this may be impossible, but it would make a huge differnce to my work rate when Auctiva is extremely slow, or playing up, as it was yesterday (Sunday Feb 25th). Many thanks in advance!

I have had this happen to me one too many times. One listing, I spent over 3 hours on and in one click of the button, a one minute hang, boom, the listing was lost and I had to start from the beginning.

I have learned since that once I recognize the hangup within a few seconds of hitting the save button, I immediatly go to copy the description so that at least I have that if the listing is not saved. That simple task has saved me dozens of times!

I'm a first time user and it took me two days to get my profiles up for precisely this reason - every time I went to save up would come the dreaded "Can't find Server" window. When the server was eventually found my work, unfortunately, was not and I had to start again.

I overcame this by writing everything out in a Word document and when the Auctiva site was accessible, copied and pasted the words. Since the Auctiva servers are so unreliable I am now doing this for everything. Frustrating, time consuming ... most definately but it works.

I use web based applications at work and here at home and many have a cache on th elocal hard drive to write temp files to so they can be recovered if the internet connection fails for any reason. I'm not a techy so I don't know how it works but the technology is available and it would be useful to have it.
