I am a fairly new lister and I have just created some 20 listings that I would like to post on eBay a few days from now. I have a few questions: Can I schedule them all at one time, or do I have to schedule each separately? That would take some time to do. If I can schedule them all at once, will Auctiva post them with some time in between, so that the same buyer will have time to jump from one item to another. My other question is: How does the insurance part work? If I enter optional insurance, I am asked to enter a price. But how would I know what figure to enter without knowing what the item will sell for? An item could sell for $10 or $100. That would determine the insurance fee. But I wouldn't know this ahead of time.

Hello VR,
i can help you with the scheduling part of your questions. provided that you have created your 20 listings with auctiva and saved them all, it is very simple to schedule all the listings at once.
1. click on the "listings" tab
2. click where it says "saved listings"
3. tick the box(es) of all listings you want to schedule in the same time frame
4. click on the "schedule" button
you will then see all the basic info for all your listings. then you can select a starting date as well as a time.
good luck

Hi VR,

To address your insurance question...

When using flat rate shipping, you are required to enter a flat rate insurance cost as well. I recommend determining the insurance cost based on a selling price that you would be happy to receive. Then, if the item ends up selling for more, causing the insurance cost to increase, you may not mind paying a bit more for insurance since the item fetched such a good price.

To avoid entering a flat rate insurance cost when creating your listings, you would have to use calculated shipping. Then, you would just be required to specify insurance as "Optional", "Required", etc., and the insurance cost would automatically be calculated based on the final selling price of the item.

This is a further question for elishan:
I understand what you are saying. But when I tick all the boxes, I am shown the same date and time for all of them. If I enter the starting time for all of them at the same time, will they be posted in the same order and will the listings be separated by a time frame, let's say some minutes apart, or how does it work?
If you select all the listings and enter one start time, then they will all be posted at (about) the same time, one right after the other. If you want to control how much time lapses between one or more postings, then you will need to schedule those times differently and separately for the individual items you are concerned about.

Hope that helps.
