Thank you! By the way, where is the best place for the window. At the top, somewhere in the middle or at the bottom of the auctions etc.? I want it in a place where most visitors will see it easily and don't know how many folks really scroll through the whole page to see the bottom. Carol L
To me it seems the best place is at the top where it's the most visible (and that's the default location) but others disagree. Some have said customers have actually complained about having to see it at the top but I haven't gotten any of those complaints myself.
It's kind of strange but last week two of my auctions had the window at the top and two it was at the bottom. Kind of weird since I didn't code anything. Anyway, I have two going that I placed the HTML code in the middle and think it looks pretty good there. It's between the photo description area and the shipping and other details area. If you'd like to take a peek, here's the link to one of them Chrysocolla Pendant
You know, I think you're on to something there. It makes a nice divider between the description body and the other info (which seem to run together in so many listings I see). And that gray seems to be perfectly matched to your templage, which always looks nice.
Thank you Rick! I wasn't crazy about it being right at the top. Thought it kind of distracted from the particular item you were trying to sell. I thought by putting it where I did it would be seen by viewers who after reading that auction description opted not to bid on that item. Hopefully it will encourage them to check out my other listings AND my store which I hope to get going by the first of the month.
Gee, thank you cor the compliments Nadine! I pretty well stick with the same templet and colors because changing it all the time is a pain in the patotie. The one I'm using is my own design and I do like the colors. I'm hoping to get my store open real soon, been working like a beaver on stuff to list in it. I understand that after the 3rd of May Ebay will no longer have the free 30 trial for stores and I want to take advantage of that. Probably not the greatest time to open a store, but got to give it a shot for a few months anyway just to see if it does better than my Web Site. If so, I'll keep the store and probably close the website. Carol L
Yeah. It's really easy to do, though! Log in to your Auctiva account. Click the Store tab. Then click on Store Window and then on Store Window HTML. Copy the entire code in the box there. When you create a listing just paste the HTML wherever you want the box to show up. Hope this helps!
