Hi,

IE8 "BETA" isn't supported and does cause problems. That's been confirmed by Auctiva Support.

If you want to retain the beta and continue to test until they finalize the product, it still may take time for Auctiva to rework the site for support. I'd use FireFox 3 for that period.

Edit: I should add, that the beta 2 product is still deemed too buggy by most sites for dependable web development. There is talk of a beta 3 before they move to final (perhaps by late January).
Hi

I typed in Google: 'Internet Explorer 8' and look around on the Microsoft site and found this:

"What do I do if the specific webpage I am on displays incorrectly, has visual flaws or displays, or is not functional?

Internet Explorer 8 is a beta release and some websites may not yet be ready for Internet Explorer 8. Click the Compatibility View toolbar button to display the website as viewed in Internet Explorer 7. This option is on a per site basis and all other sites will continue to display with Internet Explorer 8 functionality. To go back to browsing with Internet Explorer 8 functionality on that site, simply click the Compatibility View button again"

I applied the above after selecting the Auctiva web site. I went to my saved listing and hit the Select Template, etc. and saved, and IT WORKED! HOORAY.

I hope this helps other people who have Internet Explorer 8 and are having problems.

Now I just have to finish my listing, etc, etc.

best wishes

Gail
