seperate handling fee and ins options for international

I looked at this scenario also and I don't believe it is possible with the current settings. I actually would like optional for domestic up to $250 and mandatory (or included) after $250....and mandatory for all international.

Maybe the only current solution is to include it in the shipping fee but that wouldn't be of help for those who think our fees are too high without seeing insurance included. Express auctions are an example.

I would like to make my listings flat shipping for domestic and calculated for international - I don't think this is possible. Is there something I'm missing?

I've recently submitted a support request on this subject due to the ebay 1-page lister providing separate S&H sections for Domestic vs. International. The ebay lister allows you to use Flat for one vs. the other, different Handling fee for one vs. the other, and different Insurance rule for one vs. the other.

I was told there isn't a plan to provide it in the Auctiva 1-page. I've responded that it is a REAL PROBLEM, and even more so with the changes in the USPS rate structure and the new ebay feedback element for S&H that motivates the seller to calculated.

I'm now forced to do a single listing from Auctiva, make immediate changes to accomodate the new requirements and standards, and then SELL SIMILAR from ebay and pay the .10 schedule to avoid the problems.

In my opinion, this is a show stopper problem and Auctiva NOT keeping pace with this type of critical change is a true reason NOT to use Auctiva lister. If I can't depend on Auctiva to keep pace with COST CENTER based lister functions that are this financially critical, then it's too risky to maintain Auctiva as a dependable service for my future plans.

What I do is require that international buyers simply email me for a shipping quote. I adjust it to include the mandatory insurance.

Requiring int bidders to email for a shipping quote is unacceptable if you are a high volume seller. It will also deter 90% of international bidders because they do not want the hassle of requesting a quote. They want to see the price immediately.

dleckington - You said everything I was thinking and more. I'm especially disapointed to see three months after your posting this problem has not been fixed.
