I signed up for Auctiva less than a week ago and have been impressed with what it does, the tutorials provide a great way of learning how to use the system and the email support has been absolutely fantastic. Those people have the patience of Job and appear to have the serenity of the Dalai Lhama. They're also pretty good at identifying the problem and providing a solution. What a team !!!!

Unfortunately I cannot say the same about the accessibility to the system either for myself or for the listings I have managed to create. I don't think one day has gone by when I have not been frustrated by the time taken to access the site, the time outs that occur and the work lost. And the last 24 hours can only be described as a fiasco. While the eBay listings now appear to be working OK it has just taken me 35 minutes to log onto the Auctiva site and I am petrified at the prospect of trying to create new listings.

Reviewing the postings to this forum I can see that this is not a new problem with issues being raised about server unreliability as far back as 2005 (that's as far as I went so I don't know if there's anything more).

My question is to those who have been here for some time and is how often do these server problems arise? Is it once a week? Once a month? Once a year?

While the product is good and the support staff excellent these are of little value if the service can't be accessed and I have to decide whether its worth my while sticking with Auctiva or trying something else.

Regards

Dave

I feel your pain. I have only been using Auctiva for a month or so but accessing the site has been a problem many, many times. I had it go down in the middle of posting listings. It is frustrating and I am scared sh**less to continue on after yerterdays disaster.

I, like you, am wondering how often to expect this as it is not a new problem. Is it being fixed or just patched for now.
