Shipping and Handling

We will be adding this feature to the Auctiva website following our Phase II release, which is scheduled for May 2007.

Mike, I'm extremely excited about the Phase II release, as I'm sure many others are too.

CD2U, the way I do it is to just write in the description to email me for an international shipping quote. Then I add whatever handling I want. A little more work, but it works.

I used to use the international shipping rates along with my domestic rates. However when the person asked me for a ship price quote or used the international price selector on my auction, this now showed up on ebays auction list with the international price along with my auction price. So I took all foreign shipping off the listings. I do say in the listings that this item can ship to a foreign country.

I revised all domestic shipping rates starting with the cheapest to the more expensive choice, since the cheapest ship price will show up on ebays auction lists. The customer is always looking for a bargain.

If I have an international, then I just custom quote them from a saved folder with ship pricings.

What I do is after posting through Auctiva, I go to Ebay and do the modifications I need. this seems to be the easiest for me until the fix comes out.... Let's get this out, Please :-)

I haven't experienced this issue. But hope to see the new version of Auctiva soon. It's a great site and save a ton of money.

I vote for a shipping calculator like ebay has. Trying to make a wild guess on what is a good price for any shipping method is very tedious and guess work at best. I live on the east coast, and to ship to California versus shipping to someone local is a huge difference!

I am all for the handling fee seperation for domestic and international. I have been using it on Ebay and LOVE IT as it helps me out tremendously even though I only ship to a few countries overseas at this time(still getting my feet wet) but plan to expand slowly to worldwide.

I can't wait to see what wonderful things Auctiva plans to release in the near future and hope it remains free for many years to come.
