I am trying to list a digital information itemand keep getting a error message because of the shipping info. How do I list that there is no shipping cost and that the item will be sent via email.

Did you maximize the shipping tab and put a zero in the cost field? If you did not do that you will get an error. As for the fact the item will be sent by email simply make a note of that in the auction. Auctiva does not yet support automatic digital delivery

As Taz mentioned in the post above, Auctiva does not currently support automatic digital delivery so the process of listing digitally delivered goods is currently a bit different through Auctiva than it would be through eBay. We will most likely be supporting automatic digital delivery with a future site update.
In order to accomplish this, you will want to specify free shipping and add a statement to your description or checkout details explaining that the item will be delivered via email at the end of the auction. The best way to specify free shipping in this case would be to select the "Other(see item description)" option and enter "0" in the adjacent "Cost" field.
