I am new to ebay and auctiva and having a little trouble with shipping . If I choose flat rate shipping there is a cost posted at the top of the listing but if I want to use calculated shipping what happens? I see in listings that when it says calculated shipping a dollar amount still appears at the top of the listing. Please help a confused newbie!

With either flat rate or calculated, you are providing the bidder/buyer with a known amount for shipping that appears at the top and in the gallery. That is what those should do.

If you want to use Flat Rate and not show a cost at top, select "Other (see description)" for Shipping Service. That discloses no rates other than what you provide in the text description.

Calculated has the advantage for shipping methods that use weight, size/shape, and distance as cost criteria, like Parcel Post or Priority.

There is a shipping calculator at ebay, that can be of help to newbies. Smile
