Shipping Profiles..how to see which one is in use

I have my shipping profiles set up according to ounces as I ship lightweight items and some profiles are technically the same as 7 oz is the same cost as 8 oz for example. But when I go into a listing, I cannot tell which shipping profile is in use for that listing. Sure I can maximize that section and see the specifics but I need to know which weight profile I used and as I said some have the same "specifics". Is there any way to tell?? I use flat rate shipping so it always says that too.

Any thoughts or help would be GREATLY appreciated!

Did you try nameing your various profiles so you know which one to use. Or am I way of base in understanding the question, Still learning to some extent.

Yes, I did name each of the profiles to distinguish them but I noticed that once you have saved a shipping profile to a listing that you cannot see the "name" of it if you go back into the listing to look at it or maybe you can and I just have not figured out how.

My reason for wanting to do this is so that I can give people an estimate combined shipping total if they ask prior to buying. My shipping profiles are my way of letting me know how many ounces each item weighs but it won't do me any good if I can't see the name of my profiles once they are saved.

Thanks bassman for addressing my question...after using Auctiva for almost a year and a half, I am still learning too!
