shipping with PayPal -- display postage amount?

I don't show the shipping charges only because I don't want the emails saying it only cost you 2.20 to ship this why did I pay 4.00 shipping.

I do NOT refund extra shipping, I charge a very small handling fee $1.00 - 1.50 and I quote shipping charges to the farthest away zip code. So sometimes I might make 2.00 off shipping, including my handling fee sometimes I make nothing cause I screwed up, it washes in the end usually. I just don't need the headaches of added emails asking why I charged this when it only cost this.

Rick, I think you'll find this is the only reason why you don't want it displayed. I do the same thing.

Huh. I hadn't even thought about that. I haven't run into one of those customers yet but better to be safe than sorry, I suppose. Thanks for the response, folks.
