Hello Everyone.

I need to figure out if I can (and should) use Auctiva and I was wondering if someone could answer a few questions. I plan to place between 500 and 1500 listings per month on Ebay.

-I'll accept payments using either PayPal, or for my Mature Audience sales, AuctionWorks. I'd rather use their checkout paths. I do not wish to offer my customers shipping insurance at this time. Is this allowed?

-I'd like to use 3 pictures placed in the body of each listing, so I like the free Auctiva image hosting. (How much space is it again?) However, there is 100MB included in AuctionWorks (paid) software.

-I'd like to be able to remove any branded additions to my listings if I find them intrusive or if I just don't want them there. I'm not sure if Auctiva places anything in your listing by default, or if anything is required, but I hope if there is, it's all optional.

-I noticed a free template section as well as some great templates in the contest area and I'd like to utilize templates for my listings.

Do you think I can still benefit from Auctiva? The reason I ask is because from what I know (from browsing the site), it appears that the only thing I have to gain is a great selection of templates to use. (If this were the case, I'd probably find a template elsewhere and forego the Auctiva membership), but I'm asking because there may be options only members see, or other useful tools that make my listings process smoother.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

dmhcollectibles,

No, if you read my post, you'll realize that I already have "most" of the good things Auctiva offers. I'm simply looking for someone to sell me on the idea, or not. I'll already be including something from AuctionWorks in my listings and I don't want to go overboard with links, galleries, and icons from two or more different companies. I'm paying for AuctionWorks payment processing so it's understandable a checkout link for them would be there. If Auctiva offered payment processing services, I'd probably be in a coin flip situation. But they don't. So I was simply asking if I could still benefit from Auctiva, and to fill me in on the helpful tools I'm not seeing.

If I were Auctiva, and provided a free service, I would probably make it mandatory that something branded is included. That's why I asked first. I'd also give my lackeys kickbacks too, so you'd be much better off if I were Auctiva. Smile

I don't mean to be rude, but it sounds like you'd like to use some of the good things about Auctiva but not give them any credit for it by removing branded insertions. How would you feel if you were Auctiva, providing a FREE service, and then you didn't even get any mention of your name?
Hello,

1) Yes, you can still use other checkout paths and not offer shipping insurance. Just make sure to disabel Auctiva checkout and Auctiva Shipping Insurance.

2) Auctiva offers free, unlimited image hosting.

3) The Auctiva store window is placed in your active listings by default. If you don't want this feature, be sure to disable it BEFORE creating your eBay token.

4) If you don't use the Auctiva store window, the only time a buyer would see Auctiva's brand name is when they view your free supersized images, as they are hosted by Auctiva.

You're welcome to use any or all of the features Auctiva has to offer. Welcome.

-Mike
