Site Promotion ??

Ok, I'm a newbie with ebay and I'll admit kinda dumb sometimes. However, I've decided to give this a go but have a (probably dumb) question on marketing.

Is it ok to promote and market my auctiva store like I would any other website (search engines, blogs, ads, profiles, etc)? Or are there rules that I can't locate somewhere against this.

If the answer to the above question is "no", why not?

Any help would be appreciated.

There is nothing stopping you from promoting your auctiva store anywhere on the net. You can promote it on any search engine or list or directory.

Get out there and market, market, market.

Buy your own domain name and forward the URL to your Auctiva Store. Open a free ecrater store, sell on Yahoo, Blujay, Bidville and more.

The more that you're out there on the internet..the better. Start blogs that are connected back to your sales, join selling groups/forums, network with other sellers.

Open a Myspace strictly for business networking, too. I've received some nice sales and have done some bartering.
