Site Updating & Maintenance Time

Why is it that everytime that the site is unavailable due to maintenance and upgrades, it goes way past the time you post? You post that it'll be going on starting at 11pm pacific, for anywhere from 5 min. for update, to a MAXIMUM of 2.5 hours for maintenance--yet here it is...3am (and I'm in California), and the site just now went down? What's up with your peoples time scheduling? This is getting kind of annoying!

Because in the past it took 2 hours and now it takes 5 and we haven't updated that message.

We also tried something new tonight which we hoped would lower it from 5 hours to 2 hours and so it didnt start until around 12:30am. It didn't work though so next time we'll start at the normal time and it will still take 5 hours.

It's 12.45pm in London, England. If you didn't begin until 12.30am PST and 5 hours are required still, will the site be up and running by 1.30pm GMT? I hope so as I have a lot of items to list today and need to return to (real) work tomorrow. When Auctiva works it is wonderful and I can't bring myself to consider the idea of an alternative listing method. So, go engineers.
