Hi,

I tried something the other day in regards to all the auctiva ad banners in every auction.

Try doing a search in ebay, copy any of those ad links that appea at the bottom of your listing to the ebay search button (including description)

The search does not pick up any of the free auctiva auctions ??? the only auctions it finds with auctiva in them is from users who have the older versions of auctiva from the classic auctiva site. None of the FREE auctiva listings show up in a ebay search.

So, the only way they are advertizing the free auctiva version is if by chance someone looks at your auction and clicks on any of the links.
Hi,

Just wanted to assure all the users that the links Auctiva puts into the listings do meet eBays third party link requirements.

We're a Certified Solutions Provider with eBay and thus go through more vigerous screening to make sure we comply than most companies.

You can find eBay's policy here:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-links-credits.html

Keep in mind that each service we provide is allowed 1 link/logo. i.e., Templates, Scheduling, Listing, Image Hosting...

Using an image instead of text, as long as the image still conforms to the rules of text (i.e., HTML font size 3), is also still allowed.

The term HTML Font Size 3 is referring to the size of text relative to html standards. Not an image similar in size to HTML font size 3.

But I will let the friendly staff at ebay figure that out for themselves. If they're happy, I'm happy.

For the record, the policy is quoted below from their site.

"The logo size may be no greater than 88x33 pixels, including backgrounds and borders. The text may contain no more than 10 words, and may be no larger than HTML font size 3. Examples of the text portion of a credit permitted within a view item page:

*

“eBay's most successful sellers use Marketworks sales management services!”
*

“Affordable auction management solutions @ SpareDollar”
-------------------------------------
Each of the above examples are text. Not images sized LIKE HTML Font Size 3 text.

Interesting play on words though.
