Interesting article, but it does not fully deal with the legal issues of importing from another country.
Also, being a Moderator on Alibaba, I can attest to the fact that Alibaba makes no real effort to keeping scammers off their site. A number of us have been fighting for years now for Alibaba to increase their security, but our comments fall on deaf ears.
Perhaps an article with the true pitfalls for new importers might be worth writing. This article makes the assumption that people know all the ramifications of importing and what goes on on the worlds largest B2B website as well as others.
I would recommend a new importer do a lot more than just read this article to get a feel for what importing really takes.
I have bought from alibaba, it is nothing but scammers, bought from 2 sellers received no items and now im out over $8K and my credit card company told me too bad
When you block a person, they can no longer invite you to a private message or post to your profile wall. Replies and comments they make will be collapsed/hidden by default. Finally, you'll never receive email notifications about content they create or likes they designate for your content.
