Hi ecmallory,

Thanks for contributing to our forum. There is a compatibility issue between some versions of Internet Explorer and the older version of the description editor that your account is currently configured to use that can cause the behavior you described with the Spell Check and several others buttons on the description editor toolbar, so I believe you will be able to put an end to this issue by updating the version of the description editor you are using.

In order to set your account to use the newer description editor we have available, just mouse over the “My Account” tab within your account, select the “Acct Preferences” option under “Settings”, check the box next to “Use Design Editor v2.0” in the Listing Enhancements section, and then click the “Update Account Preferences” button below.

We have already made it so new users and those who are already using the new version of the description editor cannot resume using the old one, so please keep in mind that you will not be able to go back to using the old editor once you have made this change.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with this, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the “Help” tab within your account and selecting the “File Support Case” option.

-Mike
If you upgrade (which you may eventually have to)...there are some features that are NOT available on the new...I miss them and would have gladly given up spell check for them.

I would NEVER have switched if I been told that before I switched only to find you can't go back.

Just saying...if new had those few little features I would have NO problem with the new one.
