Hi everyone, I am new to Auctiva and started making listings yesterday with it.I do not have an ebay store but I notice that I have an Auctiva store.Do I have to pay for this? Thank you in advance!
Your Auctiva Store is another free feature provided you by Auctiva!
You can purchase a custom domain name with associated email addresses for your store for $6.95/yr (prices differ for UK users) which gives your store added recognizability. You can find all the relevant information under the Store tab.
Make sure to customize your store and place the link to your store in your outgoing emails, blogs, forum posts, eBay About Me etc...
But you can't list store items at inventory insertion fees to the Auctiva Store unless you have an eBay store? Is that correct?
If you can list inventory at eBay store fees (typically 10 cents) and have them appear in the Auctiva storefront - then that would be great (without the cost of the eBay store)... ?
I am pretty new to this and really confused about the store feature. I have an ebay store but I guess I can now get rid of it? Also with the auctiva store, is it just made up of my active listings, or can I include items that I do not have up for auction on ebay? I have figured everything else out, I don't know why I am not getting the store thing!! Thanks in advance, Dawn
Your Auctiva Store is populated by every active listing you have on eBay only. And there is no extra fee to use it. There is nothing special you have to do - once you list something on eBay it will appear in your Auctiva Store unless you specifically hide it by editing the items in your store.
The one problem is that eBay built in references always point to your eBay store. For example, on their listing frame.
If all you had were auctions - or fixed priced items - you could simply point everyone to the Auctiva store.
But with the eBay store - some are going to go there and some will go to the Auctiva store. From a branding point of view - that's a problem.
PS. I am an absolute fan of the listings mechanisms and the Auctiva window. But I can't figure out the best way to have two stores (not to mention that I already have my own non-auction site).
