It seems that when I include the HTML for my Auctiva Store Window with my auction descriptions with eBay's SYI (Sell Your Item) listing page...

http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SellHub3

...that my Auctiva Store Window HTML does not display in my auction descriptions. However, when I list auctions by using eBay's older listing pages...

http://cgi5.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?SellHub2

...my Auctiva Store Window HTML displays in my auction descriptions just fine.

I suppose that in the future I can just avoid listing my auctions from eBay's newer SYI selling pages, but I have several auctions currently running in which I used this SYI service and now have no Auctiva Store Window displaying, even though I have used identical auction description HTML including identical Auctiva Store Window HTML.

So, if I list auctions with SYI, no store window, and if I list an identical auction description on the older listing pages I get perfectly displayed Auctiva Store Windows.

Is there any way that I can revise my SYI listed auctions to get my Auctiva Store Window to display? Or, should I just count on not having Auctiva Store Windows in my previously listed SYI auctions and plan on never using SYI to list my auctions in the future?

Hi Yermah,

That is quite strange. I just posted a test listing using eBay's new SYI form, containing only the stre window HTML in the description, and the store window was correctly displayed on the auction once posted. This test auction can be seen at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130073254787

If you would like further assistance with this matter, please file a support request using the appropriate link on our help page:

Hey, Mike D! Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. The problem with the eBay's new SYI (Sell Your Item) form hasn't gone away for me and I haven't quite figured out why the old SYI displays my Auctiva Store window just fine, but I think I'm narrowing down on the problem. Now, first I want to call your attention to an eBay test auction with my Auctiva Store window as cut and pasted from the "Store Window HTML" text box from my Auctiva Store configuration pages located on .../storewindowhtml.aspx and listed with eBay's old SYI form:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270091000160

You can clearly see my Auctiva Store Window desplayed in the description area of the auction just fine.

Now, take a look at this eBay auction description posted with exactly the same Auctiva Store Window text but listed with eBay's new SYI form:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270091001457

Now you can clearly see that my Auctiva Store Window is not displayed in the description area of the auction.

For some reason eBay's new SYI form is filtering out my Auctiva Store Window whereas the eBay's old SYI form displays it just fine. Yes, I did do a little editing of my Auctiva Store Window with Auctiva's Store Window tools, so perhaps I did something to remove a necessary feature of the Window with the new SYI form versus the old SYI form.

Mike D.,

After requesting help from eBay customer support on this issue of the old SYI form versus the new SYI form the response I got from them was that the new SYI for is considerably less forgiving with scripting errors and that they don't support scripting problems so that I should contact Auctiva support.

He said also that the format of the scriptual text was different in the description posted by the old SYI versus the new SYI, even though the text I pasted into this forms was identical. If you want to see the view source for these test auctions I posted please see me previous reply above.

I grant you that this problem is confusing. Why would my Auctiva Store window have this problem when nobody else's does?

I've tried editing my store window on the Auctiva "editstorewindow.aspx" form but I can't seem to get the window working with the new SYI form. Is it possible that you could do a reset on my store window and put it back to it's default condition?

Thanks.
