Support Case # 430275

Let me warn you this is confusing..Auctiva can you help with this???? Or other members?? as once again, I am at standstill.

I sent above support request yesterday and got some answers early on that I am not sure really were accurate (or rep did not understand question). I sent 2 requests today asking if this is being moved up food chain and gotten no response.

I go to Custom Specifics under
Size Type: I put in "REGULAR" which leaves gray area because I am multi-variation listing. (I did clear custom specifics hoping that was issue, it was not) In multi-variation are sizes (since all of my items are regular I do not want 2 drop down boxes as is a waste of time). (now I realize if I had mix of regular and big/tall) I would have to have 2 drop downs)
All of this item is regular, so want to put Size only in variations. When I do this I am getting error code?

here is code: Listing is missing required item specific(s): "Size (Men's)". Please provide the required item specifics.

When I go to ebay and list it will let you do as one drop down and have done in past?

Here is ebay listing which I have now ended but will show up.

I guess I do not understand why it is all of a sudden where we would have to have 2 drop downs to go through when one works great and has worked great in the past.

Thanks for your help, would love to get this resolved.

Thanks for your help.

Dear Vickie,

I just updated your support case again this morning to follow up on our discussion that took place yesterday, but I figured I would update this thread since you posted the question here as well.

I looked over the listing in question and was able to determine that eBay returned the "Listing is missing required item specific(s): "Size (Men's)" because that is a required Item Specific and it was not filled in within the Custom Item Specifics.

The key difference between the listing for which you were receiving this error and item # 140584920816 that you mentioned here is that the variation is the name of the variation that is used to allow buyers to select the desired size. In item # 140584920816, "Size (Men's)" is specified as a variation so it does not need to be entered in the Item Specifics section.

If you change the variation in the listing you are working on to be called "Size (Men's)" instead of "Size", I believe you will be able to post the item to eBay successfully without being required to enter something in the "Size (Men's)" field within the Custom Item Specifics section.
