Help...

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong here or if everything is working just like it should...

What I'm trying to make is a table in the Shipping Profile of my Seller Details that will essentially come out looking something like this:

<Picture>< Text Descritpions ><Picture>

The issue I'm running into is that the "Text Descriptions" in my Table do not "look like" the rest of the text that is in whatever Template that I use.

The text always comes out Black, not the color of the Template Text, and it does not share the same size as the rest of the Template Text...

I've removed all of the <Font> tags from the Table in the hopes that the Font definitions from some where else in the Template would come down and be in effect on the Text inside the Table...but it just seems that having the text inside a table excludes it from being affected by the overall look and feel of the Template.

So...am I doing somehting wrong? Should it work...or should I redesign what I was doing so that the text is outside of a Table and the Template look and feel applies to my text? ( I know it works if I do it this way... )

I use different Templates all the time. I like it when the Text in my Seller Details matches that of the Template, and I don't want to make a ton of different Seller Details pages for all the various Templates I might use.

Sorry to be so lenghty on this...just wanted to make sure I was accurately describing the issue...

Thx
Mike

I am not sure about size of the text, as most of mine is set in my seller details. For me, I keep everything set as Verdana - size 12, and that is what I use for the description.

For color, highlight the text, click on the text color button on the editor and select the 'Automatic' selection (it's at the top). You can do this in your seller details and in the description editor when you list.

In the boxes, it will still show as black, until you preview the finished listing, as it differs for each template (as you are aware of).
...and that's not working for me either...

What HTML Tag is it...for "Automatic", cause I'll just force that in...

As I said, there are no <FONT> tags in my table at all...so I don't know what is going on.

If I take the text out of the Table then it works "Automatic" when there are no <FONT> tags in my HTML. However, putting it in a <TABLE> really changes how the text is displayed...

Hello mnormand,

Unfortunately the only way to use the predefined font (face, color and size) is by not nesting text inside tables. If you have determined that nesting text inside a table gives you the desired effect then you will need to specify the font (face, color and size) that you wish to have applied to that text. Best of luck to you.
Thank you for the official answer...

I eventually came to the conclusion that this was what was happening and I changed the way I did my seller details.

I still have the pictures in the table...but I took all the text out of the table so that it would display properly.

On most of my listings this was not a problem when the text was in the Table, but on one of them I chose a Template that has a black background and that pretty much made all the text invisible (black on black).

So...like I said, I just changed the design so that the text would no longer be in the table and now it changes color with whatever Template I select...

Thanks again...
Mike
