I signed up yesterday, I checked the box to NOT include the scrolling gallery but sure enough it's on every one of my listings. Mad

I also checked the box to NOT use your checkout now I'm worried you forced that into my listings as well.

I just wanted to use auctiva as a alternative to TL2 to store and launch listings but now it's changing everything.

Hi 2cute2miss,

The use of the Auctiva store window is a default setting on your account so, when you generate a token for your Auctiva account, your current listings are automatically imported into your Auctiva account and appended with the store window.

To have avoided the store window being added to your listings, during the token generation step, you would have needed to click "Skip Token Generation" and then disable the Auctiva Store Window setting in your account. Then, when you generated your token, the store window would not have been appended to your listings.

Now that you have disabled the store window setting within your Auctiva account, the store window will not be added to any listings posted thereafter, however, it will remain in those in which it is already present.

If you would like to remove the store window from your current listings, you can do so by revising each via the following process:

1) Click the "Revise your Item" link on the item.
2) Click "Edit Description"
3) Click the "Enter your own HTML" tab on the description editor.
4) Hold "CTRL" and press "F" to initiate an IE or Firefox "Find" command.
5) Enter "asw" in the "Find" field, and click "Find Next". The text "asw" will become highlighted, which is the beginning of the store window HTML.
6) Delete all of the description HTML from the "asw" to the bottom of the editor.
7) Save your changes.

Also, Auctiva Checkout can only be applied to listings which are listed through your Auctiva account while Auctiva checkout is enabled. None of your listings that were posted directly through eBay will use Auctiva Checkout and, since you have disabled the Auctiva Checkout setting in your account, any future listings you create, whether through eBay or Auctiva, will use eBay Checkout.

Of course, considering that most people don't understand what the token is at all, most people would never think they'd need to skip a step in the process...

I understand why Auctiva might make the store window default to on but without an easy way to remove it when unwanted it's problematic at best. Are there really that many people who also opt out of the templates (in other words, advertising for Auctiva)?
