I have more listings that I want to relist, but I don't want to have this problem again. Can anyone please advise as to why this happened (& is still not corrected on my current re-listed items), so it doesn't happen again?

The photos show up in the listing & the gallery, but not in my Auctiva srolling bar or listing page (says image not available), and they are hosted in Auctiva.
Hey Guys/Gals,

This is a foolish question, I know, but did you upload your images to Auctiva Images? Did the pic show up when you Previewed the listing before posting to eBay? Did you run the Check for Errors before posting to eBay?

Please, I don't mean these questions to be rude, but I know what I have done in the past and just want to help. I hope you won't be offended at the questions.

No offense taken. It's a legitimate question. Yes, I did upload my images to Auctiva, and they showed up on the preview, and no errors were detected.

I haven't had this problem since, but that's only because I haven't re-listed anything directly from Auctiva again since I didn't get any help with the issue. I've done any re-listing straight from eBay. So, I don't know if it was a glitch or an actual problem, but apparently, others are having the same problem.

Luckily, I haven't had this problem when listing a new item through Auctiva.

Thanks!
Hi BroJames & fellow Confused

Don't mind you asking, things can get overlooked when busy.

Yup, images were uploaded to Auctiva, listing created on Auctiva, images sourced from Auctiva selected, previewed, error checked & posted to eBay, all OK.

But when I originally created the listings they had gallery and eBay header pictures. Prior to posting I deleted the g & h pictures from some listings by resetting the selection box to 'select' and some by clicking on remove. I am now wondering whether the affected items were the result of setting the choice back to 'select' and not using remove.

Perhaps and may be perhaps some items of data underpinning the structure of the listing that we cannot see are left in an indeterminate state and confuses the eBay and Auctiva tools that process them. I need to check this out with a couple of cheap relists.

Auctiva support responded to my request for info very quickly again but ragarding this matter they are to investigate and get back to me again.

Whilst editing listings without g or h images 'thumbnails not avalable' appears in most folders so it could just be a fundamental oversight by Auctiva. Note that before Auctiva you would have had to use an eBay header picture to have any picture at all unless you were in to HTML (i.e. doing it the hardway).

So far the scrolling gallery lack of image problem has only appeared with subsequent relisting via eBay. But note that a relist via Auctiva just posts it again without allowing you to edit it so I would expect the same result as directly through ebay.

Anybody got any more thoughts ?
I really shouldn't be responding to this post, I'm getting really tired and sleepy. But a question just came into my mind and I apologize, but I haven't re-read all the posts above. Forgive me if you have already mentioned this.

Did you re-list from Closed Listings, or, Saved Listings. From Saved listings you can edit your listing. From closed you cannot.

Again, if this has already been hashed over, I'm sorry.

Good night Mrs. Calabash wherever you are, Wink

BroJames
