I have been having this problem for the last two days. It has been very frustrating as I have been trying to list some stuff on ebay but cannot seem to access the Auctiva site at all. As a result I can't even post a help request to Auctiva. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have not had any problems accessing any other sites in that time.

Further info is I managed to log on 3 days ago and created two listings. When I went to save the third one I kept getting the message unable to access the Auctiva.com website. When I could finally get back on yesterday (nearly 24 hours later), I managed just one listing before the same problem occurred. It is now over 24 hours later and I am still receiving the same error message. I don't seem to be having problems with any other website: as you can see I can access the community.auctiva.com site but not the auctiva.com site. Any help would be much appreciated. I haven't used aucitva for a couple of months but it seems that every time I go to use it I encounter some problem or another.

Try from your neighbors house. If it works then you have a few options:

1.) take a hammer to your PC and buy a new one
2.) dump your ISP and get a new one
3.) reload the OS on your computer
4.) try a different web browser
5.) go to your neighbors house to work
6.) etc.

Or a combo of the above. Our sites been up and tens of thousands of sellers have listed in the past 2-3 days so I'm suspecting it's computer related. Since you're in AU that may be something but we have a lot of AU customers so I don't think it has to do with your location, except to maybe be an issue with your ISP or DNS. Does it work by going here: http://38.102.35.18 ? If so then it may be DNS related and contact your ISP. If you're reading this post after today ignore that IP(the 38.102.35 thing) we change them all the time so don't post saying it doesn't work I'll ask you why you didn't read this part.

Not sure what that means.

This means that the Domain Name Servers (servers you connect to via your ISP which converts names like "Auctiva.com" to a string of numbers like "38.102.35.18") were probably overloaded or down at the time you had problems accessing Auctiva.

The browser just defaults to a message like 404 not found etc. as the name cannot be translated and hence the site cannot be connected to.
