unwanted HTML coding that appears

The slowness thing might be one thing, but I am truly fed up with having to remove unwanted HTML coding that appears in my listings. Frown

You think you have the listing looking just the way you want it, and then find that the template has been extended, with large spaces of nothingness.

Even trying to delete this extra HTML is useless, as it reappears as soon as you preview the listing or do any other operation.

Does anyone know of a permanent way of getting rid of this useless HTML, other than going into eBay and deleting it?

Oops! Sorry about that!

If you take a look at item# 6845674425 you will see a large blank space after the wording "Thank you for visiting" and this is the HTML that fills that space:

I see no need for most of it, and trying to get rid of it is a REAL pain!

Some of those HTML tags are things you are going to want, I think. For instance, for every <font=whatever> there should be a </font> to close the tag.

The code you've posted here looks pretty funky and I'm also curious as to where it came from.

To get rid of the spaces, you can probably take out some <p> </p> Each <p> adds space to your listing and there are several.

Hi,

I am using IE 6.0.

The HTML was created by Auctiva's text editor. When clicking on the source link from design to HTML, this HTML coding is generated. Every time this action is performed, yet more of this type of HTML is produced.

For example, if you manually remove it in the HTML option of the text editor and then hit "source" to bring you back to the design option - it reappears automatically causing large spaces in your description and template.

This problem has only appeared since the new text editor was introduced. Everything ran smoothly previously.
