What good is it to edit a listing if the changes do not take affect when it is auto relisted??

Hi mx377,
If you make changes to a saved listing from which you have posted an item after you have posted the item, those changes would not be reflected on the active listing or any relists done from the listing after it closes. Those changes would only be reflected on future new listings you create from that saved listing.
If you would like to change the price of an item when it is automatically relisted, you would need to set that up within the "When I Auto Relist" section of your auto relist profile. If you uncheck the box next to "Relist with no changes" in that section, you will see the option to lower the start price by a specific amount or percentage each time it is automatically relisted.
If you do not know whether you would like the start price of the item in question to be lowered in the event it does not sell and is relisted automatically at the time you are posting the item, then you would just need to set up your auto relist profile to relist with no changes and then revise the listing after it has been relisted to change the start price.
