Using Authorize.net

If I use the checkout and authorize.net , do I still need a merchant account. From what I understand is that Auctiva connects to authorize.net directly

yes you will need a merchant account. There are hundreds out there. I found the best one thru Sam's Club. Go to their website for details. 1.98%. I also kept paypal so there are 2 buttons on my site. I love authorize.net because it is so user friendly. Good Luck,
