Variations Generator on the fritz... AND, How do I create Manual Variations

The Subject really sums this up, but I will add some extra words to bring additional clarity.

I am trying to make a listing for some stickers that I want to list Small, Medium and Large sticker. When I go to the Generator I create a NEW Attribute for Size. The interface box appears but I can not add S, M & L to the list. I have done it before and it has worked exceptionally. I also went to a listing that already has variations and tried to modify them and it wouldn't let me.

I think its broke... What do you think? Any idea when it will be unbroke?

Secondly though, I have searched everywhere I can and I can not find a way to create custom attributes for use in manually creating variations. Any ideas? Any suggestions?

Hi Lee,

Thanks for contributing to our forum. I am not aware of any current technical problems that would cause you to be unable to add values to your attribute called size, so I'm not quite sure exactly where you are running into trouble with respect to that aspect of the process at this point.

It is not currently possible to create custom attributes when using the “Add New Variation” interface to create each variation manually, but you should be able to create custom variants using the Variation Generator tool that is available.

In order to use the Variation Generator, you will just need to click the “Variation Generator” link on the pop up window which appears after clicking the “Add/Edit Variations” link on the listing creation page. From there, you should be able to create your custom attribute by clicking one of the “Custom Attribute” links displayed next to the eBay recommended attributes for the category.
