Hello,

New Auctiva user here...
I'm trying to understand why an image that has been watermarked within Auctiva and then used in a saved listing does not display the watermark in the listing preview (the preview at the very bottom of the listing page just above the save button) unless I click on the supersize link in the preview.

From the preview, it appears as though the photo at the top of the eBay listing on eBay will not have the watermark, and that only people who choose to view the supersize image will see it.

Shouldn't the watermark display on every instance or use of the photo?

I surely would appreciate it if someone can clarify this for me.

Thank you!

Hi jrw1215,

Thanks for posting your question here. Yes, I would generally expect a watermark that has been added to an image to appear on each version of the image and not just the enlarged version that is displayed on the supersized image page, so I am not quite sure what may be happening in your case.

If you are still seeing this behavior, please contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the "Help" tab on our site and selecting the “File Support Case” option and we will be happy to review the listing in question and see what we can do to help.

Thank you for your reply, Mike. I really appreciate it.

I discovered I could see the watermark in all instances on my laptop but not on my desktop. Even after updating my Firefox version, I still could not see it on the desktop.

However, clearing my browser cache fixed the issue. So, I'm guessing I was seeing a cached version of the listing preview although I don't understand why it would work that way.

Is there something I can do to avoid having to clear the browser cache in order to see the most recent version of a saved listing?
Hi jrw1215,

You're very welcome.

Since you are not seeing this behavior on your laptop, I agree that you must be seeing a cached version of the preview page on your desktop although I am not necessarily sure why it may be doing that either.

As an alternative to clearing your browser cache in this case, I believe you should be able to hold down the “CTRL” button on your keyboard and press “F5” to pull a fresh copy of the page directly from our server

-Mike
