I'm tired of people stealing my photos, but I can't figure out the watermarking. I figured out how to add the watermark in Auctiva, but I can't figure out how to add that image to my listing. When I click on Add Image within the listing, it goes to my photos folder on my computer, not the watermarked image.

Hate to tell you...you can watermark them till the cows come home, but the watermark can easily be removed. I use to watermark all of mine..did not matter one little bit....people would post them with my watermark..or would blur out my mark (full store name) with editor. (can't believe they would take that much time to do it but they did). I finally just stopped messing with it.

I would tell you how I did it, but honestly it has been so long I really do not remember process.

I do report theft to ebay via their report form AND call safety dept daily until they are removed. Recently had someone steal text and images and reported them 3 separate relistings in a row on same item. Ebay would remove, they would relist same way...3 times and they are still selling away...but so far have not relisted that item a 4th time.

Frustrating to say the least...as honestly my photos are OK, but they are really not that much to write home about!

Good luck and sorry I just do not remember how I did it before it has been so long.

It is frustrating to say the least!!!
I appreciate the reply. It sounds like it might not even be worth it.

I don't think my photos are anything to write home about either, but I do try to do a good job with them. I like the idea of posting a picture of the actual item rather than stock photos.

I've reported some for stealing my photos, but who knows what actually happened (if anything) The latest seller stole a photo from a listing that I haven't had posted in more than 6 months. So, I can't report them cause I can no longer search for the listing number. The funny thing is she stole the photo I had for a face cream and posted it to her listing for an eye cream - so it isn't even the right photo!

Yes, it's frustrating but might be one of those things I just have to let go. Thanks again!
You know..others may have different experience with watermarking. I have few pictures that people just love to steal and I actually have those items marked in my saved list so I see them when they come up daily. NOW... that is not MAIN reason I have them marked...I sometimes will buy that item from others and flip it later being able to see if someone stole photos is just added bonus.
