What changed with the format of the templates?

I have been using the custom template for a few weeks now and recently noticed that for some reason my template is off now. I recall that someone had a problem with things being centered but do not recall which thread that was in.

My question is, what code did you put in so I can take it back out? I had set mine up before and was happy with the results and now everything looks off.

What do I need to do to get my original back? I tried taking out the center tags in the beginning but no changes were visible. Please help
