"API Error

The value for "Model" is invalid for the given value you have specified or the default value for "Brand" due to dependency."

^Can anyone tell me what this means? It was scheduled, but it would not post. One very similar to it posted ok five minutes prior to this one. Dependency?

I've never had this happen before, but before today all my listings were direct thru ebay.

Thanks,
BK

I still can't list the item that said "API error....". When I hit the 'edit' link, and my listing comes back up, there is nothing to tell me where the error is. No red *.

I think it has something to do with the manufacturer's info stored on ebay about the golf club I'm trying to list, and it doesn't show on Auctiva.

I'd like to know where I made my mistake, so I won't repeat it. If I can't, I'll have to delete this event and start all over, and just hope I don't duplicate my mistake.

Thanks in advance, and I hope this made sense. :+)

Thanks, rubberduck.
It's supposed to list at 7PM PST. We'll see. I went back and edited it, after a days worth of emails to Auctiva Support. I did what they said, and double-checked what looked to be like some item specifics omissions (hard to tell), so we'll see....

As long as it posts without error, I'll be happy. Then I'll take your suggestion, and go into ebay and make any corrections needed.

I've suggested to Auctiva that it would be in Ebay's interest to work out a deal where the items specifics could be viewed on the Auctiva preview of your listing. Beats having repeat listing attempts. If they want the business, they should make it as user-friendly as possible.

The way the error message read, it was if a programmer/techie was going to read it, and wasn't clear at all.

Keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks again,
BK
In case this has happened to anyone else.....

Auctive support & I have worked on this for 2.5 days, and can't find any differences between the listing that posted on time, and the one that keeps coming back with an API Error. Even when Auctiva runs it through their screening process, the error message is still gobbleegook.

It has to be in the "Item Specifics" or "Find Product". You can't use them both at the same time, and I have double checked to make sure I had not done that.

Since this is not something Auctiva can view, I have emailed Ebay Support for answers. I will post their reply when they contact me.

Has this happended to anyone else on here? Auctiva is as puzzled as I.
