Where are the automotive categories?

In order to post your automotive tool through Auctiva, you will first need to select "eBay Motors" or "eBay Motors(Parts and Accessories)", whichever is appropriate, from the "Ebay Site" pull-down menu at the upper-right of the Auctiva lister page. Once you have selected the correct eBay site, you should be able to successfully locate the categories that are relevant to that site.

If you have already bagun creating the listing with a different eBay site selected, you will probably find that this pull-down menu is greyed out. If that is the case, , you will have to re-create the listing from scratch because, when you start from the "New Listing" page, the "Ebay Site" pull-down menu will be selectable.

IF you don't want to list via eBay Motors, you can also find automotive items via eBay's plain US Site selecting COLLECTIBLES/TRANSPORTATION/AUTOMOBILIA/BlahBlah, although if you want to list strictly under AUTO TOOLS, you'll need to go thru eBay Motors & choose PARTS & ACCESSORIES/CAR & TRUCK PARTS/Blah Blah as Michael suggested.
