Hi PhilthyCollins,

Thanks for commenting on our forum. The Details and Packing Slip pages that are available from the Sales section within Auctiva are not currently equipped to display the specific variations (or SKUs) associated with sales made from multi variation listings, but we are planning to update those features to display this information with a future update of our site.

For the time being, I can only recommend checking the sales data that is displayed within your eBay account to confirm which variation(s) were purchased when you make sales from your multi variation listings.

If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our Customer Support team by mousing over the "Help" tab within your account and selecting the "File Support Case" option.

Your recommendation makes me feel you may not realize how big of an issue this is.

You see, looking at the sales data within eBay does not yield the SKU either.

So, when I sell White TShirts, and the SKU's are TSSmall, TSMed, TSLarge, how do I know what to ship if those SKU's don't carry thru to our sales page?

This is such a huge oversight, that I can't help but feel I must be doing something wrong....
Mike, but does the SKU show up?
You know...the SKU that Auctiva and eBay allow us to enter in a Variations listing. It's a seperate field from the Variation description. That's the field that should show up in Details, or on a Packing Slip. It's what's needed to make a pick, from inventory.

I don't understand why eBay doesn't show it after a sale. Do they not make it available via API to Auctiva, and is that why you guys don't show it in Sales - Details?
Hi PhilthyCollins,

Thanks for checking back in with us about this. Although we have been able to update our Checkout Details and Packing Slip pages to display the specific variations purchased for each sale made from a variation listings, we are still unable to display the specific SKU numbers that are entered in the “Add/Edit Variations” interface.

I am not certain whether eBay makes those details available through their API, so it definitely may be possible to display those SKU numbers as well. I'll make sure our Product Management team knows you would like to see those numbers available on the eBay Sales page too.

I was previously under the impression that you were primarily interested in seeing the variation details so you would know which specific items to ship, which is something a number of other users had requested once we released the current version of the eBay Sales page as well.

I apologize for misinterpreting that aspect of your request, but I appreciate the clarification. I'll keep you posted if any new information becomes available regarding whether we may be able to display those SKU numbers in the future.

Mike, what is the purpose of a SKU number?
Why do companies use SKU numbers?

To cross reference and pull inventory items.

It's pretty simple, when you think about it, and every company with any decent size warehouse, uses SKU's.

So, eBay and Auctiva allow us to enter SKU's when we list items. Giving us back the variation name, without the SKU, is kinda like telling someone to go out to the warehouse and grab a White Tshirt, with the Sleeping Puppy logo on it, in White, of a size Large...and make sure it's long sleeved. When it would be a whole lot easier to say "Go pull Sku: 39127".

I hope this clarifies things such that you're not confused any longer. I'm sorry to see that your programmers added the variation detail, without the SKU.
