It's been a couple months since I've uploaded any images, but any time previously, they've uploaded and been stored as JPG files. I uploaded them today, and they got saved as GIF files, and they look really crappy on the previewed eBay listings.

Was anything at Auctiva changed? Or do I need to look elsewhere for the source of this change?

thanks in advance,

The only reason I can think of that happening is if the images are really GIF and not JPG.

The name you see at the end of a file doesn't mean it's that type of file. For example I could create a document in Microsoft Word and save it as: mydocumunt.doc Then I can rename it to mydocument.jpg. That doesn't make it a jpg, it's still a .doc file internally.

When our image uploader opens your image to resize it and save it onto our system it must be finding out that it's really a GIF and then saving it that way.

Or there is a bug. We'd the original images sent to us so we could try uploading them and seeing for ourselves.
