I seem to have to revise most of my listings on ebay - because ebay seems to offer a lot more category & item specfics than auctiva ie -clothes - on ebay now can list fabric & brands in a lot of cases, I am worried that when a buyer would search cotton blouse, mine wont show up because auctiva's leaf categories are stale. Does anyone know if the other listing services keep current?
Thanks

For me item specifics has another issue..

Ebay now, there is no Other link on the Color,or Size. So you are stuck with only the sizes and colors ebay puts in.

Auctiva still shows the old way with the other
link so any information you inter there is dropped once it hits Ebay. No one informed us of this so If that is the only place you put in your colors and you use the OTHER BUTTON your information is gone.

The same goes for sizes, Say you need to put S-L and you use the other button to do that, your size is dropped once you hit ebay.
Hi Community,

This is something we are currently working on, but it is a very large project because eBay is completely changing the way item specifics information is submitted to them through their API, which is the system we use to communicate with eBay. It's too early to tell definitively when we'll be able to get these changes completed, but I anticipate we'll have our system updated to support all of the item specifics options in the next couple months.

Next couple of months isn't really an answer I wanted to hear, I don't appreciate having to revise each listing, when I use pay to use Auctiva in order to save time and have accurate listings. If I missed it, I apologize, but I didn't see the message from auctiva that my listings were being posted missing search information available to other sellers. I shouldn't have to figure this out. SINCE YOU KNOW ABOUT IT, HOW ABOUT LETTING ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS KNOW.
Hi jodi001,

I'm sorry to hear that you missed these notifications. The warning messages about this can be found in your account by clicking the orange number in the "Notifications" section along the top of your Auctiva account. For future reference, any time a listing posts successfully but some aspect of it is changed by eBay, a warning message will be displayed in this area of your account.

Hi Mike,
Thats not quite right, The warnings I have do not say you missed all new item specifics & branchs etc. You are being evasive. It say the category changed & auctiva converted it. This would mean to me that there was a problem & thankfully auctiva corrected it, instead of the possibility of low visability on ebay because I am missing search specifics. That I am not thankful for. Since Auctiva is doing half it's job, how about charging me half & in the meantime I'll use a service that is up to date & when Auctiva is entering my listings properly - I'll be happy to come back.
I am getting tired of listing on Auctiva & then revising the listings on ebay because the item specifics are wrong most of the time. When I posted this in August Mike said it would be a few months, It's mid November, Whats taking so long, I feel trapped on Auctiva because all my old info is here & I would have to move all my active listings. If not I would be close this account asap.
