Will variants work for this or not?

I want to list an item (same item)(same color), same everything EXCEPT I want the quantities different & the price different.

1 Set is $x.xx
2 Sets are $x.xx
3 Sets are $x.xx

Different prices depending on the quantity.

Can I do this under variants. I don't seem to be able to or perhaps variants does not include this type of situation that I want.

If not, what can I use to create this type of listing?

I had been able to do what you describe in the past using variants. I make the changes under pattern, where I say set or pants only.

Here is the issue...trying to do a new multi variation listing today for pajama pants. I keep getting rejected telling me I have no filled out all items with asterisk in specifics. Of course I have. I have done this countless times. Now I am thinking that it is broken in Auctiva for this category.
