We are taking a "sick" day next Monday or Tuesday and taking my dad into NYC. He was just diagnosed with severe diabetes so he decided to take next week off of work and just relax and absorb this news. I have taken my kids (9, 7, 5.. youngest <3> isnt coming) to see the Statue of Liberty before... not on the ferry because I am not waiting 2 hrs in line when we only have 10hrs if that in the city. Heard the empire state building wait is just as long! What else can we do? Did the central park zoo last summer.. did times square and Toys R Us and the ferris wheel. Was looking at Chinatown or maybe Little Italy? Just some culture ... Any ideas?? Steph

Thanks! I was looking at the Staten Island Ferry since the wait for the Statue of Liberty is just too long! We are taking a train into GCT and should get in around 9 or so, so a 10am ferry to staten island would be doable! And I am looking at lunch in Chinatown or Little Italy. I had been to the south street seaport, the kids have never been so thats an option. Staying downtown instead of going back up towards Central Park... we could easily stop at times square before our train home. THANKS! ~Steph
