Hi Eric,

I'm sorry to hear about the trouble you are having. Ebay will actually reject listings and return that error if the word "money order" is mentioned anywhere in the item description of payment instructions, so I suspect you have alluded to the term "money order" somewhere else in the auction.

If you are unable to see what part of your listing is causing this error to be returned, I recommend contacting our customer support team using the web form on the following page: http://www.auctiva.com/free-au...tware-help/help.aspx

Hi itsjustme,

Thanks for contributing. It's actually not very out of the ordinary that you did not receive these errors when posting items directly through eBay when you were receiving them when attempting to post them through Auctiva. Listings that are posted through eBay's API (which is the system third party services like Auctiva use to share information with eBay) undergo a different validation process than those posted directly through the eBay website.

A good example of this is that eBay will reject listings posted through their API if they have the word "cookie" in them and return an error suggesting the listing contains Java Script code that is not allowed by eBay policy. However, if you try to post a cookie jar or something similar directly through eBay, you would be able to post it successfully without recieving that inappropriate error.

In any event, in all the cases I have seen in which users have received these errors from eBay indicating that "money order" is being offered, I have been able to find the text "money order" somewhere in the listings. That error can still be returned if the context surrounding the use of that text is to clarify that money orders are not accepted.

Hi,

There is a long and ever growing list of possible reasons for an API Error / Listing rejection from eBay.

I would check for any details on the API Error on the Notifications box/links at top of any Auctiva page.

I would check for any account problems or messages at eBay. Account restrictions for new sellers, VERO problems, account Validation requirements, etc. are common reasons.

Use of trigger words or phrases like money order, check, etc. that are suggestions you accept those payment methods. Spamming words in titles and descriptions might cause a reject.

Open a Support Case with Auctiva from the HELP link at top of page, and they can check for a more exact cause of the API.

I was having the same issue a few weeks ago. Then I noticed that in the payment instructions that I never changed we had a statement saying, No personal checks.

From all your payment instructions or checkout instructions or anything at all in your ads that you haven't UPDATED, or reviewed in a long time, remove the words 'PERSONAL CHECK" or "MONEY ORDER' or 'CREDIT CARDS"
