I have to say I am pretty upset right now. Confused I have just spent 2 hours designing a custom template from scratch in the template builder. I had the template perfect ! looked great in design view. So, I named it and clicked on " SAVE TEMPLATE."

POOF !! the whole template gone ?? I received an error message saying " You can only have 1 description tag"

The design view, and edit view pages were all BLANK ! I tried everything to retieve all my hard work. But nope. All gone. I am pretty fed up. (to say the least) If I made an error with my tags FINE, I am ok with that because I am still learning, but WHY does it not just give me the template back ???? so that I can edit the tags... or edit the template ??

Is there any way I can retrieve this template before I saved it ??? PLEASE I really can not even think about making it again.

This is a major PROBLEM !! and needs to be fixed ASAP. I have written to the
Support Desk also, but wondered if It is something I'm doing wrong, or has this happened to other users designing custom templates ??.

sigh ......

I don't know if there is a way to retrieve, but you can only have one description tag. I agree it should give you the template back. If you know HTML, it is better to build your code in notepad, then when done copy & paste into the editor using the text mode. They have problems with the editor when in design mode. Wish I could be of more help. I've been there & know what you are going through.
Did you hit the back button? That has gotten it back for me in the past. Might this be a lesson learned . . .

Don't actually design your template on auctiva and always save your work often. There are plenty of freebies out there you can use or at worst use the practiceboard and click the url after each change. If something happens go into your history folder and it will be there Wink

There should never be a reson to be in this spot again, be preparred Smile
