Hi i am new to Auctiva, i have setup a new add with one of the existing templates, i have selected the scrolling gallery for the pictures at the top of the add, what i find annoying is that every time it scrolls to the next add, if the picture is a different size all the text in the add moves up and down making the add very hard to read, how do i fix this ?

Hi AFT,

Thanks for posting your question here. I reviewed a couple of the listings you have posted through Auctiva and was able to see the issue you are referring to, but it is actually not related to your use of the Auctiva scrolling gallery. Instead, the behavior is a result of a conflict between the Slide Show image grouping selected for the listing and the relative size of the images.

Our development team is aware that this can happen, but I don't currently expect that we will be able to address the issue in the near future, so I would recommend working around the problem by changing either the image grouping or adjusting your images to have the same proportions.

If you are committed to using the Slide Show image grouping in your listings, then the only way to avoid encountering this problem would be to make sure the images that you are selecting for each listing have close to the same proportions.

On the other hand, you could avoid this problem by choosing one of the other options we have available in the Image Grouping drop down menu on the Template Layout page you are presented with right after choosing which template you would like to use for each listing.

I hope this helps. If you need any further assistance with your account, please feel free to contact our customer support team by mousing over the "Help" tab on our site and selecting the "File Support Case" option.

Hi i dont need the slide show actualy, I only want the pictures to show up in my add description, i tried sleicting zero or 1 pictures int hat gallery part of the template and i cannot remove the pictures fromt he top of the add ? I don't need them at the top as they are already in the add. On my template how do i remove this pictures completley from the top of the add ?
Hi AFT,

When you are looking at the Auctiva listing creation page, the image that appears in the top section comes from the Select an Image slot labeled "eBay Header" image. Therefore, if you do not want an image to show up in that section, you would simply want to leave that Select an Image box labeled "eBay Header Image" blank.

The Slide Show that I was referring to is the option you selected from the "Image Grouping" drop down menu after you selected the templates for your listings, which makes it so all the images in the description are displayed in one spot within the template and are cycled through in slide show format.

The issue that causes the page to shift as the images in the slide show change is a conflict between that Slide Show image grouping and the fact that many of the images in your listings have very different proportions.

If you open up one of your saved listings within Auctiva and click the "Modify Layout" link next to where you selected your template from, you will see an "Image Grouping" drop down menu in the Customize Layout section on the left hand side of the page.

If you choose a couple of the other options from that menu and watch how the preview changes, I think you will see what I mean.

-Mike
